WE MAKE KIDS TIRED

celebrating 33 years of adventure!

At Passages Adventure Camps, kids and teens (ages 6–16) unplug from screens and dive headfirst into real adventure. Whether they’re paddling through whitewater rapids, scaling rock faces, rappelling down cliffs, zipping through the trees, or shredding trails on a mountain bikes. Our campers are constantly discovering just how capable they really are.

But Passages is more than just outdoor thrills. Our mission is to help young people grow—building real-world confidence, leadership, and teamwork through challenge, exploration, and accomplishment.

Here’s what makes the magic happen:

  • Incredible Staff – Handpicked for their skill, energy, and ability to connect with kids. Every team member is trained and ready to guide each camper through every step of their adventure.

  • Personal Attention – With just four campers per counselor, no one gets lost in the crowd. Every kid is seen, supported, and encouraged.

  • Built for Growth – We prep campers mentally and physically for each activity, helping them push boundaries, overcome fears, and discover new strengths.

  • Gear That Works Hard – All equipment is high-quality, well-maintained, and built to handle whatever adventure throws at it.

This isn’t just summer camp—it’s where confidence is earned, friendships are forged, and stories are made.

LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN!

AGES 14-15

My first experience with Passages Adventure Camp was when I was 8 years old. I distinctly remember sitting in the back of my dad’s car with my brother and his friend in the seat in front of me, waiting anxiously to get to my first-ever summer camp experience. I was shy, anxious, insecure, and completely unfamiliar with any aspect of rock climbing or kayaking. The first week I spent at Passages was a life-changing experience, truly and unbeknownst to me at the time. I never could have imagined that my 8-year-old self would one day grow up to be the next Director of this amazing program!

I am one of the staff that we “grew”, someone who went through the entire program, all 5 levels, starting as a CIT, and never left. I’ve experienced first-hand the profound impact that Passages can have on campers and staff, and continue to experience these effects each year watching our amazing staff grow into incredible people, seeing young campers start the week as scared as I was, and ending it at the top of the tallest climb on the island.

It is an honor and a privilege to lead this adventure with our campers. Together, we will create lasting memories and empower them to embrace the challenges that await at Passages Adventure Camp.

Take care,

Arden Varley-Twyman

Hear what our campers and parents have to say about PassageS

This was a really special experience. We have seen our camper challenged and confident in his success. We could not be more proud of him, nor more impressed by the entire Passages program. Thank you for the extraordinary work you are all doing. We’ll be back next summer!!!
